The printformer Editor offers a real-time 3D view, enabling users to visualize and design simultaneously. In addition to the x3d 3D format, printformer now also supports GLB files. The GLB format is an efficient solution to enhance product presentation and elevate the personalization of print products to a new level.

GLB files enable printed products to be viewed in 3D, providing customers with a realistic impression of the final product. This feature is especially useful for personalizing packaging and items like mugs, T-shirts, or 3D cards. With the rissc printformer 3D preview, your customers can instantly see how their design appears on the product from various angles.

The GLB format enables interactive product visualization, showing all adjustments in real-time. Its high compatibility with various platforms and devices, including AR applications, makes the GLB format exceptionally flexible and accessible. Therefore, the GLB format is a valuable tool for enhancing customer loyalty and maximizing sales.

GLB files are more compact compared to other 3D formats like FBX or OBJ and are optimized for web applications. They can be efficiently integrated into online print portals without slowing down loading times, which ensures a smooth user experience – especially on mobile devices, which are increasingly used for online purchases.

GLB files support Physically Based Rendering (PBR). Material properties (such as light reflections, textures, and surface quality) are realistically displayed, which accurately reflects product perception and helps users make informed purchasing decisions.

With GLB files, customers can customize their designs not only in 2D but also in 3D, for example, by adding text or images to a 3D model. These files are particularly helpful in the packaging and gift article industry for optimizing personalization.

With the new Global Editing feature, you can select and edit multiple blocks of a template simultaneously. This makes it easy to optimize even complex designs with just a few clicks.

You can easily activate text blocks, image blocks, and shapes together using a selection frame or the Shift key, and align them with a single click to the desired edge.

Selected blocks can be moved, rotated, or deleted together. If any of these actions are not permitted for one or more selected blocks in the settings, only the controls available for all blocks will be active.

For text blocks, you can collectively adjust the font type, font size, and other font properties. Text blocks are aligned based on the size of the text frame, not the current text length. If the text frame is too large or too small for the new font, it must be manually adjusted to ensure the text block is correctly aligned. Please note the editor's 'Text will be cut off' warning.

When multiple blocks of the same type are active, the color can be adjusted for text blocks and shapes, and transparency for all blocks. If different settings are defined within the selected blocks, only the controls available for all blocks will be displayed.

Materials such as weekly menus, event programe or campaign flyers need to be updated frequently. A printformer template can be updated by different users or teams at several locations. This increases the likelihood of human error, especially if your media database is constantly growing. The new image tag feature is part of our media asset management system that allows precise control over image blocks.

You can use the tags to determine what type of images or graphics may be placed in the image blocks. If the blocks are filled by system media, users can only use the images that have the tag defined for the block. Whether printed or digital, your marketing materials and documents will always remain uniform and elegant.

To prevent the wrong images from being placed in the image blocks, you can use the tags to define image categories, even within a media set. This means that only images to which this tag is assigned can be placed in the blocks for which the tag is defined, such as only appetizers or only locations.

You can also use tags to define the desired image format. This prevents portrait images from ending up in a landscape image block and causing layout errors.

You can also use tags to define what type of graphics may be placed in the image blocks. For example, users can only use logos or only decorative elements.
